2015 Twilight Event
The first event of 2015 was a Summer Twilight event in the Ainslie-Majura Nature Park on Saturday 7 February. 220 competitors took part in our inaugural 200 minutes rogaine (5:10 pm to 8:30 pm). The event was timed to finish at civil twilight – and made sure we got to see the beautiful sunset. A great way to spend a warm Saturday evening!
Glenn Bridgart set a great course taking in spots that people in their regular walks and rides would never go. The top teams were set the challenge of collecting all the controls faster than any other teams while the majority of people found plenty to keep them occupied until the finish right on dark. It was fantastic to see the range of competitors we had from babies in backpacks, juniors and uni students, through to ultravets. Congratulations to Lizzie Ingham and Lachlan Dow for winning overall.
