2010 Nightgaine
The Election Nightgaine, Rob Roy Nature Reserve - 21 August 2010
A band of hearty electors spent Saturday night unglued from their seats and TVs. They voted with their feet and collected points from some spectacular high hills including Rob Roy (Gillard’s grunt) and Big Monks (Abbot’s folly). Not many made it right down south to the Green’s Gamble, but those that did, picked up lots of ‘votes’. The creeks ran, the frogs croaked and the stars shone. Everyone was back before the bells rang to enjoy a wonderful spread from Hartley Lifecare.
The Men’s Open Fishing and Lifestyle Party (Greg Jolley and Peter Young) were the overall winners, closely followed by Jasmine Elson and Craig Mottershead from the Australian Mixed Open Sex Party. The Hardworking Edwards Family First team did well and the Women’s Super(vet) Fast Socialist Equity Party came in with a very respectable score.
A big thankyou to the setters Mike and Marg Harrap and Doug Collier for a challenging and interesting course, and to all the landholders for giving us access to the area. We would all vote to go there again in the daylight!
